RESIDENCY DIRECTOR
Janice Sutherland
Janice has a passion for story-telling, a natural empathy with her subjects, investigative rigour, a keen eye for stylish visuals and my films pack an emotional punch. She has made many critically acclaimed feature length documentaries for BBC, Channel 4, ITV, and international broadcasters such as PBS, Discovery Channel and French 2.
Her work is wide-ranging – from the BAFTA nominated Tsunami, the critically acclaimed films Children of 9/11 and WW1: Finding the Lost Battalions, to the three-hour rollicking inside story of Live Aid. Diverse, and different, but always with people and their stories at their heart.
Janice loves working with actors, and after intensive training on "Corrie" she is keen to tackle more drama projects and ambitious docu-dramas.
