SURPLUS: The Rat, the Tampon and the Laughing Gas
When waste is a reflection of our social psyche, discarded life and consumables - become one of the same.'Surplus: The Rat, the Tampon and the Laughing Gas' is a short form moving image art project, depicting three anthropomorphised discarded things - all real objects found in the streets of Enfield, which are accessable via Augmented Reality as sculptural triptychs, presented as individual microsites. This creates
multiple entry/ access points.
The films are presented as separate files: audio, text, film, AR. The sculptures, seen and manipulated using Augmented Reality via smartphones or/and web browsers.
DYSPLA makes high end experimental narrative based digital art, using performative monologues and innovative technology.
