68% of primary schools in England have seen arts provisions decrease in the last 10 years, Art in education has been reinstated as a luxury. Supported by the commissioned street artist @shaypress to create 27 new pieces of work art over 5 locations.
Words Not Walls explores England’s ‘cultural apartheid’ and the value of the students’ own creative thinking by enaging in the creation of poetry for public presentation around the streets they live within.
Walking ToursOn the weekend of the 18th - 19th of September, DYSPLA conducted walking tours of the innovative street gallery Words Not Walls around the Enfield Wash Area of Greater London with performaces from students of Honilands Primary School and poet Cheryl Moskowitz.
